American Rails are shelf-style supports for standard server cabinets, designed to reduce dependence on server-specific sliding rail kits.
Built to stay useful
Every American Rails product is universal.
The 1U Universal and 2U "TALL" Universal sets each include a left and right precision laser-cut rail formed from 18-gauge galvanized steel. The equipment rests on the shelf-style support surface, while the mounting face attaches to the cabinet's vertical posts.
There are no plastic release tabs, fragile slide assemblies or unnecessary moving parts. The design is intentionally simple, durable and reusable.
Because cabinets and projects vary, confirm your front-to-rear mounting-post distance, equipment size, weight and mounting requirements before ordering.

Cabinet spacing
Designed around standard rack-unit geometry.
The 2U "TALL" Universal mounting face uses standard vertical hole spacing, with attachment points positioned across 3.5 inches. Cabinet posts may use common #12-24 or #10-32 threaded holes, but your exact cabinet and hardware must be verified.
These are fixed shelf-style supports, not server-specific sliding rails. Equipment must be appropriately supported and secured. Load suitability depends on cabinet construction, rail length, installation, fasteners, weight distribution and operating conditions.
